Employment Opportunities

Working at ADK is Working for Wilderness. ADK (Adirondack Mountain Club) works to protect New York’s wild lands and waters by promoting responsible outdoor recreation and building a statewide constituency of land stewardship advocates. From educating day-hikers to lobbying state legislators, our staff work year-round to ensure that this mission is upheld.

We have three locations in New York State—our Member Service Center in Lake George, the Adirondak Loj & Heart Lake Program Center near Lake Placid, and Johns Brook Lodge (JBL) in the backcountry of the Adirondack High Peaks region. Our seasonal staff work at the Heart Lake Program Center, which is famous as a historical site and for hosting the most popular trailhead in New York State, and at Johns Brook Lodge. Seasonal staff work here alongside our team of full-time staff to educate the public, assist guests, and promote ADK and its mission. Our Lake George location handles membership, development, and advocacy, among other duties vital to our organization.
