December 3, 2017 (Lake George, NY) ADK (Adirondack Mountain Club) and Lam Research teamed up this past September to work on a natural trail system at the Malta Community Park in Malta, NY.
Lam Research is a global supplier of innovative water fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor industry. This year, each Lam field office in North America designed an event to give back to their community.
Lam’s Malta office worked with both ADK and the Town of Malta, Parks & Recreation to help children of all abilities and ages in the community engage with nature. Andrew Hamlin, ADK’s Trail Coordinator, led forty-seven Lam Research employees to enhance the park through new trail creation, trail maintenance, repair of broken park benches and kiosks, and installation of new trail markers.
Lam Research matches each employee’s volunteer time with a donation to the non-profit organization. As a result of the volunteer effort combined with Lam’s matching gift program, Lam donated $4,000 to ADK. These funds will be dedicated to the conservation, preservation, and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve and other parks, wild lands, and waters.
