Northville – Placid Trail
Northville – Placid Trail – Schenectady Chapter
One of the most interesting and perhaps least known features of the Adirondack Mountain Region is the 135-mile continuous wilderness footpath, the trail from Northville to Lake Placid. Cut in 1922 this iconic trail was the first one completed by ADK members. Complete an end-to-end hike including the road walks in Piseco, Wakely Dam and Long Lake to earn this patch based on the design of the original trail marker. This challenge can be completed in segments. Learn more.
