Sawyer Mountain is a very popular climb in the Indian Lake area of the central Adirondacks. The large trailhead parking areas are located approximately 4 miles west of Indian Lake on Routes 28/30. The best description of this hike is that it is a short sweet treat with a prized view. The trail to the summit is 1.1 miles and the ascent is 630 feet. The trail is of a moderate grade throughout.
